Another painting for Kow Yokoyama-san's Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K) ZBV3000 universe. I wanted to do a 'space' painting and give it that feel of 1970s Sci-Fi art. Very much inspired by the works of John Berkey, Peter Elson, Chris Foss, etc, etc.

The scene depicts a squadron of Mercenary Lunadivers (the good guys) carrying out an ambush on a couple of SDR Sternail cruisers.

Japanese designer, Kow Yokoyama created Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K) in 1982. The Lunadiver which is the stingray-like ship in my painting first appeared around the mid-80s.
