So this is the final (for now at least) version of my latest Maschinen Krieger piece. There's a few minor edits and additions from the greyscale version but nothing drastic.
(Greyscale version can be found here:[link]) I kept the buildings the way they are because it's supposed to look as though WWIII took place a long time ago (100yrs or so) and the people that have returned to Earth are in the process of cleaning up and starting again. The concept of the destroyed city was inspired by artist Marek Okon and some of the work he did for a PC game called 'Afterfall'. The Falke flying out of the sunrise represents hope coming in the form of these Mercenary fighters. All told, around 12hrs of work in Photoshop PS3 and a lot of thought went into this piece. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
