So, again I've done an homage to one of my favorite artists :iconspex84: and his piece 'Ghosts of Azimuth' which is the work that actually got me interested in Speed painting and concept work.

About 1.5hrs.

I love this piece. It reminds me of one of the best creepy scenes in Homeworld. And a sense of mystery to this painting just adds to the level of AWESOMENESS. The detailing in the armor paneling on the ruins must have been hell. It looks perfect...

Off the top of my head, I'd echo Nemonus' comment--the wreckage looks a little "thin". Perhaps some more broken linear elements to suggest the framework beneath the skin?

Ok, thank you. I had the idea to keep it thin but I guess it's not working for the picture as a whole - I'll do a little touch up work over the weekend. ;)

Really cool scene, i like how you wrote maelstrom on your disinegrating ship. It looks like it would feel like you were putting your hands in pudding on the little wreckage-y fallen parts, like they'd been so melted and destroyed they lost form. I really like this whole scene.
